Genevieve Mulkins, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, DNP is a dual, board certified nurse practitioner in both psychiatric mental health and family medicine with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).  She earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree and her post-Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Louisville, her Master in Nursing from Spalding University, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Murray State University.

Dr. Mulkins began her life’s passion as a nurse practitioner in 2001 practicing in a wide variety of pediatric settings.  Prior to joining Square One in 2023, Dr. Mulkins pioneered the way as the first nurse practitioner in the emergency department at Kosair Children’s Hospital where she worked for 8 years.  She also worked as a nurse practitioner in Pediatric Neurology, JCP Schools Health Services, and immediate care centers across the city.

In her role with Square One, Dr. Mulkins strives to help children and families understand their challenges as a part of their own unique journey.  She will travel with you in pursuit of understanding and meeting your individual needs using a holistic approach to establish diagnosis and treatment.  She will explore with you treatment options which may include, but are not limited to, medication management and individual psychotherapy for psychiatric conditions including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit disorders, tics and Tourette Syndrome, and behavior disorders.

Dr. Mulkins is married to her high school sweetheart and has two college aged children. She loves to travel, spend time with her family, enjoy the arts, and attend sporting events.
