The mission of Square One Specialists in Child and Adolescent Development is to provide thorough evaluations and effective treatments for children and adolescents. This includes careful assessment and determination of diagnostic issues that result in appropriate and productive treatment, resources, and supports. Our goal is to guide families and develop realistic and effective treatment options to address developmental, psychological, educational, behavioral, and/or emotional concerns.
Starting at Square One: Evaluation & Treatment
When concerns arise regarding a child’s development, the whole family is affected. We understand the stress our families feel as they search for answers to their questions. Some developmental differences may isolate a child and prevent him or her from growing into a productive, happy adult. When these differences become problems in a child’s life, proper diagnosis and guided interventions are needed to facilitate their social, emotional, and cognitive adjustment. Helping a child grow and develop into his or her maximum potential is every parent’s deepest desire. It is our commitment to help you reach that goal.
At Square One, we offer thorough medical, psychological, educational, and developmental evaluations for children: toddler through adolescence. We also consult with parents, school personnel, physicians, and other professionals to determine and provide guidance that will support your child’s social, emotional, and academic growth. Our task is to identify differences in development that may separate a child from success as we suggest proven methods to address those differences.
Also, if therapy/counseling is the only service you are requesting, our clinicians are among the most talented and respected in the community. We begin the counseling process with an initial parent-based “intake evaluation” designed to 1) fully understand your concerns for your child, and 2) develop an effective treatment plan.
