Judith A. Axelrod, M.D., Behavioral-Developmental Pediatrician performs comprehensive medical histories and neurodevelopmental physical examinations. With over 30 years of experience, her clinical concentrations include Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, social communication disorders, intellectual deficits, and associated conditions.
Dr. Axelrod earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from the University of Louisville School Of Medicine in 1983. She completed her residency program in Pediatrics at Kosair Children’s Hospital in 1986 as chief resident and subsequently was in private practice for two years. She then continued her training with a Fellowship in Behavioral Developmental Pediatrics at the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center which she completed in 1991. Dr. Axelrod was a faculty member at the University of Louisville School Of Medicine and on the clinical staff at the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center from 1991 to 2009; she is a former clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Louisville. Dr. Axelrod is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also has membership with the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), Autism Society of America, Tourette Syndrome Association, and Society of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatricians.
Dr. Axelrod opened Square One in January 2006. She performs comprehensive medical histories and neurodevelopmental physical examinations and provides medication management.
